Hello! Welcome to the Latina quilter. I am a intermediate quilter with an appreciation for Latin motifs. I started quilting back in Autumn of 2009 after years of wanting to learn how to quilt. I became interested after watching the film, How to Make An American Quilt, with Winona Ryder. It took me 10 years before I set myself with a machine and some fabric. I took my first piecing class at JoAnn’s and I’ve been hooked ever since.

I even got my mother involved! We both are members of the Nite Owl Quilting Guild in Rancho Cucamonga and we are proud volunteers for Road to California. My mom is now a teacher for a local community center.

On my website you will find:

  • tips that I have learned over the years
  • reviews of the products and stores that I love (and ahem, don’t love)
  • photos from various sew-alongs
  • recipes for food that my family cooks (my family is from Chihuahua and Michoacan, Mexico)
